The power distribution box connects the antenna tracker with the ground station. Inside the box there are two power supplies that will power two stepper motors in the antenna tracker,  a switch that connects to two PoEs and a computer which controls the antenna tracker. This system is compactly fit into a waterproof case for easy transportation.  

 

This project developed a good mix of mechanical and electrical engineering skills. I had to plan out all the electrical connections by creating a block diagram and schematic using Lucidcharts and Draftsight.  I had to do research into the optimal placement for parts and suitable components to purchase while considering our strict budget.  I also modeled the entire project in Solidworks.
